Max has a girl in his bedroom in 'Parenthood' sneak peek

Max Braverman has grown up in front of Parenthood fans. He’s no longer the small child jumping in mud puddles on the playground. Now, he’s the teen who has found his first crush in a girl named Dylan. He’s not entirely sure how to feel about it, and neither are his parents, but nevertheless, it’s happening.

As viewers learned last week, Dylan’s feelings for Max currently rank at a 2.5 on a scale of 1 to 5. And in an exclusive sneak peek from this week’s episode, Max and Dylan try to take another step forward: Not only is she in his room, but they’re practicing the art of complimenting each other. Meanwhile, Kristina and Adam practice the art of snooping.

Parenthood airs Thursday at 10 p.m. on NBC.
