Michelle Obama, Reese Witherspoon join #BringBackOurGirls campaign

It’s been nearly a month since hundreds of Nigerian schoolgirls were kidnapped by the terrorist group Boko Haram, and now celebrities are using their star power to help raise awareness of these women’s plight — and, hopefully, to help get them back home.

With the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls, notable figures such as Michelle Obama, Reese Witherspoon, and Jessica Biel are using social media to spread the word and offer support for the girls and their families.

Earlier this week, the United States committed to aiding the Nigerian government in finding the 276 schoolgirls reportedly still held by the extremist group, which threatened to sell the young girls as brides for as little as $12.
