Fake trailer for '30 for 30' film on NBA's Brian Scalabrine goes viral

ESPN’s documentary series 30 for 30 does a commendable job highlighting sports’ great underdog stories. And even though basketball player Brian Scalabrine may have been the NBA underdog story of the last decade, nobody expected to see an episode about him. Now, the Internet is clamoring for one.

A fan of the former NBA player has taken it upon himself to create a trailer for a hypothetical documentary on the basketball star, titled Brian. The video has gone viral.

A backup forward who played for the Nets, Celtics (where he won a championship) and Bulls, Scalabrine — nicknamed The White Mamba — never actually saw much time on the court. At the peak of his career, he averaged about six points per game. But he still managed to become a fan-favorite during his 11 years in the league.

Now we’re just waiting for the White Mamba Faithful to start a Kickstarter campaign to see the film actually get made.
