Some of our favorite TV characters are often unlucky in love. They just can’t seem to find The One — but what if The One is on another show altogether?

Being a part of OPA — Scandal‘s Olivia Pope & Associates — means being a Gladiator. And Gladiator is a fancy word for a super cool workaholic who does top-secret super cool stuff. And written in small font at the bottom of the Gladiator definition is “willing to follow Olivia Pope over a cliff.” It’s what they do. It’s who they are. And whenever Olivia has a personal crisis (which is often) or has to step away from the day-to-day happenings at the office, her second-hand man steps in — in a very fancy suit, no less.

Meet Harrison Wright. He’s the sharpest-dressed man in television. We don’t know much about him other than the fact that he can talk incredibly fast, he’s quick on his feet, and he’s 100 percent devoted to Olivia. Oh, and he has a dark past that we’ve only begun to get into. Harrison has tried (and failed) to be Olivia’s shoulder to cry on a number of times, but she isn’t exactly one for hugs that aren’t given by President Fitzgerald Grant. So what does Harrison do with his life other than serve Olivia and pick out outfits? We have no idea. And quite frankly, Harrison is too smart and too attractive to pine after Olivia. Come on: He totally loves her, right? Regardless, he needs a woman. Enter Heather Hall.

Parenthood‘s Heather Hall is a new addition to the show. She’s Kristina’s fast-talking campaign manager. She’s fierce, she’s determined, and she likes to win. Correction: She refuses to lose. She has no problem taking on the underdog as a client, she’s blunt, and so long as you’re honest with her, she won’t have a problem with you. She fixes things. Sound familiar? She’s like a new Olivia Pope in the making. However, she’s yet to get involved in a complicated marital affair with the POTUS, and as far as we know, she’s never rigged a presidential election, which means she’s a lot less complicated than our beloved Ms. Pope. Basically, she’s perfect for Harrison.

So here’s the scenario: After Kristina wins the race for governor (fingers crossed!), Heather moves on to help Sen. Josie Marcus’ (Lisa Kudrow) campaign for president. Of course, OPA is already on the case. See, when our goal-oriented Heather heard that her idol, Olivia Pope, was working on the campaign, she jumped at the opportunity to become a Gladiator. But thanks to the fact that Olivia is a little busy trying to determine whether her father shot down the plane her mother might have been on, Harrison steps in to keep Heather out of Liv’s hair. Their first run-in is rough. There are a lot of words exchanged at a lightning-quick pace, and Heather develops an immediate hate for the beautiful specimen in front of her. He feels the same — until she walks away and he does a double-take.

For weeks, Harrison intercepts Heather’s every attempt at bugging Olivia, until finally he agrees that OPA will hear her out. He takes her to a bar, where he listens to her proposal and then buys her a drink. When Heather realizes that he cares less about the proposal and more about her, she gets up to leave. He grabs her hand and uses his skills of persuasion to convince her to stay for one more drink. She agrees.

By the end of the night, he’s on the dance floor — where he belongs — and he’s completely won Heather over. They spend the rest of Josie’s campaign falling in love, right up until Heather agrees to move to D.C. She won’t be joining OPA just yet, but she’s working nearby and still has her sights set on becoming the next Olivia Pope. For now, she’ll have to settle for being engaged — that’s right, engaged! — to Harrison Wright.

You’re welcome, America. It’s handled.
