National Geographic Channel has released the first picture Ginnifer Goodwin as First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy on the set of Killing Kennedy, currently in production in Richmond, Va. Based on the best-selling book by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard, the two-hour drama — scheduled to air in November — chronicles the final years of President Kennedy and his assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald.

Earlier this month, Rob Lowe who portrays President John F. Kennedy in the film, tweeted, “Just saw Ginnifer Goodwin as Jackie Kennedy in the sad and awful blood-stained dress. Extremely emotional.”

The Once Upon a Time actress isn’t the first star to channel the famous First Lady.

In the eight-part miniseries The Kennedys, which struggled to find a distributor before eventually airing on Reelz channel in April 2011, Katie Holmes was Jacqueline to Greg Kinnear’s President Kennedy. “I was very excited and flattered because I love her. At the same time it was overwhelming because she is such an icon, so I did a lot of research,” Holmes told EW of taking on the role. “It was the strangest feeling when we shot the day [Kennedy] died. Because it was tragic, obviously, and it changed the world. It felt odd to me to be in that pink suit.” (Blair Brown donned the pillbox hat to play Jackie in the 1983 miniseries Kennedy.)
