What do Natalie Portman and Minnie Mouse have in common?

Both lucky ladies have had custom gowns designed especially for them by Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz.

To mark the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris, Elbaz created a one-of-a-kind blue Neoprene sequin and jewel-embellished corset dress for Ms. Mouse, who will wear the frock when she leads a fashion parade at the French theme park on March 23. (Click here to see Minnie in her new dress.)

According to Women’s Wear Daily, Elbaz received a request “via a letter from Mickey Mouse” to create something special for the iconic Disney character. “When I showed her two dresses, she knew exactly which one she wanted,” Elbaz told WWD. “She likes to show her heels and loves earrings, jewelry, colors and everything that sparkles.”

This isn’t the first time the French fashion label has teamed up with Disney. Last year, controversy swirled over images of the very skinny Lanvin-clad Minnie (pictured above) portrayed in the Barneys New York “Electric Holiday” light show.
