'Star Trek Into Darkness' trailer gets a homemade remake

The trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness was positively dripping with dramatic tension and self-serious gravitas, two things which have provided nonstop fodder for snarky parodists throughout history. And sure enough, now we have the homemade remake of the trailer, which looks like it was shot in somebody’s house on the weekend. The special effects are impressive, and by “impressive,” I mean they use action figures — which, to be fair, are 100% more real than digital effects. But the best part is the soundtrack, essentially an a cappella version of the Inception foghorn. Start getting excited for the homemade version of the Star Wars: Episode VII trailer, coming in late 2014.
