Bristles were a big trend in movies last year, but Seneca Crane’s (played by Wes Bentley) manicured beard took on a life of its own when The Hunger Games landed in theaters.

During the television premiere of The Hunger Games tonight on EpixHD, Bentley talks about the social media frenzy sparked by his character’s facial hair. “It has its own Twitter page, its own Facebook page… I think it even has more Likes than one of my fan pages on Facebook, which I’m bitter about,” he says. “Thank you, beard.”
