Want to feel weak–and also really really grateful you’re indoors?

EW can exclusively report that Discovery Channel has a new show, Bering Sea Gold: Under the Ice, from the creators of Deadliest Catch. The programs explores a new kind of gold rush going on in Nome, Alaska. But unlike the gold rush of the 1800s—where everyone headed west—this rush for riches is heading underground. Namely, miners are setting their sights on the gold under four feet of solid ice on the Bering Sea floor.

“The American Dream is very much alive, though, as you can see on Bering Sea Gold: Under the Ice, people are finding it in the most unlikely and challenging places,” Nancy Daniels, Executive Vice President, Production and Development for Discovery Channel, said in a press release. “Cutting a hole through four feet thick ice and diving to the bottom of the Bering Sea, these modern-day gold miners show their determination and grit, and the depths they will go to earn a living.”
