Dick Van Dyke gets married on Leap Day

Dick Van Dyke is a newlywed at 86! The Mary Poppins actor made the leap to altar with his 40-year-old makeup artist girlfriend Arlene Silver on Feb. 29, reports People. The two met in the green room of the 2006 SAG Awards. After Van Dyke hired Silver as his personal makeup artist, the two quickly developed a friendship. “The last couple of years we kind of fell in love,” he said. “She keeps up with me.”

The couple married in a private ceremony near Van Dyke’s house in Malibu. This is Van Dyke’s second trip down the aisle. He has four children with ex-wife Margerie Willett and lived with longtime girlfriend Michelle Triola for more than 30 years, until her death in 2009.
