'John Carter' and 'Battleship' Super Bowl trailers: Two times the Taylor Kitsch!

And the Year of Taylor Kitsch has begun. The heartthrob-y Friday Night Lights star had, count ’em, two big ads on tonight’s Super Bowl, for his March 9 sci-fi adventure epic John Carter (from Disney), and his May 18 sci-fi action epic Battleship (from Universal). The former sports a long-haired Kitsch in a leather loin-cloth, wielding swords and felling massive White Apes. The latter features a buzz-cut Kitsch in naval duds, partnering with Rihanna to blow away reptile-eyed aliens. Check out both spots below:
