'Glee': The dentist is Uncle Jesse, so the Rippers must be his dental assistants

Thanks to Ausiello for the news that John Stamos will star in the second season of Glee as the dentist Emma mentions she’s dating in tonight’s season finale. He tapped it out in Morse code against the wall that we share right after he got the scoop, but I guess it’s also on his blog. Anyway, we like reader ncmacasl‘s suggestion that Stamos reprise his role as Uncle Jesse, who played with the Beach Boys on Full House: “They can pretend to be an All-Dentist Beach Boys Cover Band (but actually BE the Beach Boys!!!) They need a Beach Boys theme ep, anyway!! Wouldn’t it be nice….” It might. But did anyone catch the fairly brutal John Stamos/Beach Boys live performance on Dancing With the Stars? This was Stamos’ facial reaction when it was all over. It amused me so much that I made a screengrab and tiled that s—. And here we are!

I was hoping for John Stamos to turn out to be one of Rachel’s dads. But this new character works too. Or…[NONSENSE SPOILER ALERT] he will turn out to be both! He has musical theater AND Beach Boys experience. It’s not hard to imagine Stamos winning Emma over with his neatly trimmed coif (perhaps they incorporate Mr. Goodpart into their heavy petting sessions) and sense of humor. I can’t wait for him to make a joke, and for her to laugh, and for him to sing “If every word I said could make you laugh, I’d talk forever (together my love).” He’d be so happy loving her….
