'Glee' goes Gaga tonight. We're gaga for Brittany.

The surprise superstar of Glee‘s spring season isn’t Jonathan Groff or Idina Menzel, although the talent of both cannot be denied. No, it’s Heather Morris, who plays the hilarious, daffy cheerleader Brittany. While I’m excited for tonight’s Lady Gaga-packed episode — the cast’s performance of “Bad Romance” at the recent Glee Live! concert was fantastic — I’m far more excited to hear what Brittany will say next. Morris’ line delivery is spot-on, the girl can move — she was a backup dancer for Beyoncé! — and Joss Whedon loves Brittany, according to the “Meet Heather Morris” video below. Other things we learn:

1. Cory Monteith’s jerky does not impress her. No, that’s not a euphemism.

2. Co-executive producer Ian Brennan has been discouraging her from taking acting lessons. “Don’t fix what ain’t broke,” he says.

3. Morris can sing! Or so she says. Unlike Naya Rivera (Santana), who got to sing two songs at Glee Live!, Morris hasn’t gotten a chance to sing on the show yet. With both Rivera and Morris being upped to regulars next season, her singing debut seems inevitable and Morris has a song picked out: “…Baby One More Time” from that other Britney.

PopWatchers, what song do you think Brittany should sing? I like one YouTube commenter’s suggestion: “If I Only Had a Brain” from The Wizard of Oz. Are you excited to see the cast cover Lady Gaga tonight?
