When this picture from yesterday’s Sex and the City sequel shoot surfaced, two thoughts came to mind: 1) There must be some sort of ’80s flashback in the movie and 2) I’ve rediscovered my love for the 1985 Sarah Jessica Parker-Helen Hunt flick, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. If this is costume designer Patricia Field’s new vision for the film, so help me Manolo Blahnik. But methinks this Flashdance-esque getup is a trip down memory lane. Perhaps a flashback to Carrie’s big move to Manhattan? Dare we say…makeover montage??

For her second outfit of the day, SJP looked a bit more NYC-chic, but where is Carrie headed? Brunch with the girls? Galavanting with Big? Off to the drugstore to pick up a pregnancy test? We can only imagine! Baby plotlines aside, SJP had on a more character-appropriate look in this blue two-tier dress, Christian Louboutin’s “Sylvia” large hobo bag (only available in grey, <a href=”http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?PRODUCTprd_id=845524446212059&site_refer=AFF001&site_refer=AFF001&siteID=KSqIQ6SzPUQ-KyPT.kyApLr5iM6QOS90Qw&#8221; target=”_blank”>saks.com; $1,795) and “Gino” T-strap heels (888-222-7639; $865), topped with Jee Vice’s “Heated” sunglasses (jeevice.com; $170). Love the dress, love the shoes and I can deal with the giant pink bag, but the glasses? They look more ski slope than SoHo.

PopWatchers, I’m a bit torn about these looks, so let’s have a vote…
