Nirvana's Krist Novoselic running for office

A local Washington state newspaper, The Daily World reports that Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic filed this week to run for county clerk in Wahkiakim County, Wash. Novoselic, who’s a resident of Grays River Valley, is Master of the Grays River Grange and explained on the organization’s website that he filed to protest what he sees as problems in the primary election system. (He was allowed to list his preferred party as “Grange” even though the group is not a political party — it’s a loophole that he says is confusing to voters.)
