The penultimate season of The L Word, Showtime’s lesbian drama, veers, as they all have, between entertaining and infuriating with its sexy/silly mix of high drama and higher camp. Bette and Tina’s long-awaited reunion ? arrives and Jenny tones down the crazy (as much as she can) for the shoot of Lez Girls, while the ? series’ best secondary characters ever, Dawn Denbo (Elizabeth Keener) and her infamous lover Cindi (Alicia Leigh Willis), open a club to rival the ladies’ longtime hangout, the Planet. Skip the ? perfunctory EXTRAS? (a PSA, a music video) and just lap up the ?lunacy. Exhibit A: lesbian Turkish oil wrestling! ?B
