(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) ? Showtime has granted a sixth and final season to its drama series The L Word, making it one of premium cable’s longest running shows. The network has ordered eight episodes with production set to begin this summer for an early 2009 premiere. The cast is still in talks for the final season. Fan input is said to play a part in directing the show’s end, as it has in dictating story in seasons’ past. The Season 5 finale is set to air March 23. (Hollywood Reporter)
