Beyonce is sued by modeling agency. Wilhelmina says she owes a commission on her L'Oreal contract

Destiny’s Child frontwoman Beyoncé Knowles may be destined for two things: a golden bucket of popcorn, and big legal bills. The singer/actress, who was nominated Monday for an MTV Movie Award for Breakthrough Female for her role in ”Austin Powers in Goldmember,” was hit with a lawsuit by a modeling agency that says she owes a cut of her lucrative endorsement fees.

The New York Post reports that Wilhelmina Artists, the division of the Wilhelmina Models agency that represents celebrities from the music and sports worlds, filed suit in Manhattan Supreme Court against Knowles over her contract with cosmetics company L’Oreal. That contract has earned the bootylicious Beyoncé about $1 million, and she owes 10 percent of that to Wilhelmina as a commission, the suit says. It also claims that she has refused to pay future commissions from the two years remaining on the L’Oreal deal as well. Attorneys for Knowles and Wilhelmina have not commented on the suit.
