Video Review: 'Urban Legends: Final Cut'

Like its 1998 predecessor, the lamebrained Final Cut situates its bloody shenanigans on a college campus. Of course, it’s a film school now, with Jennifer Morrison playing an aspiring director at work on a piece about a serial killer whose modes of execution mirror the eponymous horror stories. But since Urban Legend itself was a blatant capitalizing on Scream‘s deft postmodern irony, this film-within-a-film-within-a-rip-off is one too many degrees of separation from originality. D
