Wes Craven had enough slasher shocks left in him for one more slick ”Scream” sequel, but without the deft touch of writer-creator Kevin Williamson, Craven’s high-concept, gang goes to Hollywood Scream 3 suffers from genre in-joke overkill. Still, Campbell keeps it real as the chronically stalked Sidney Prescott, while Parker Posey and Jenny McCarthy inject just enough new life into the series that you’ll pray they don’t get snuffed too early.
