EW grades the movies and their tie-in websites

54 Movie Grade C- Website Grade A (www.miramax.com:8888/ows-doc/54) The site has more substance than the film, with a club history, production notes, a trailer, and music samples. But the optional Shockwave version crashed my party every time.

Knock Off Movie Grade C+ Website Grade D (www.spe.sony.com/movies/knockoff) Schlock action star Jean-Claude Van Damme and schlock-TV yuckster Rob Schneider have made a macho movie with a wimpy website. With this slim offering, ”Knock it off” is more like it.

Let’s Talk About Sex Movie Grade C- Website Grade B+ (www.flf.com/talkaboutsex) Highlight: Writer-director Troy Beyer discusses (via VivoActive audio/video) the daring peach scene she had to cut before releasing this provocative film about women’s sexuality.

Why Do Fools Fall in Love Movie Grade C Website Grade B (www.foolsinlove.com) The music is the real star in this film about singer Frankie Lymon and his three wives, so the links to Rhino and Elektra Records for downloadable soundtrack tunes are what make this site worthwhile.

Without Limits Movie Grade A- Website Grade B+ (www.without-limits.com) Director-cowriter Robert Towne runs with his subject — the tragically short life of ’70s track legend Steve Prefontaine — in both film and site, offering photos, sketches, and a relay of runners’ links.
