Join the Africana Center, the Office of the Vice Provost for Institutional Inclusive Excellence, and the University Chaplaincy for a special “Single Garment of Destiny” Lunch and Learn to celebrate the living legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The 2024 theme for our MLK gatherings this year, “Single Garment of Destiny,” comes from the 1963 “Letter from Birmingham Jail” which includes this quote: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly. Never again can we afford to live with the narrow, provincial ‘outside agitator’ idea.”
