Project Engineer

Job Description

The position is equally open to both genders.

The candidate will be based in Barcelona, Spain

Travels to the project destination are required, the candidate will be flexible for missions as required by the projects he/she will manage.

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Engineering Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Define the client’s needs

- Design and select the necessary equipment, automation, and installation

- Prepare specification, run competitive tenders

- Supervise the installation and start-up of new equipment, distribution lines and connection to the equipment.

- Energy usage (gas, electricity) in the plant: monitoring and reduction where possible.

He/she will:

- Work in cooperation with the customer’s factory team and local contractors.

- Support and/or represent the client when and as needed.

- Keep all parties informed and involved, as necessary.

- Prepare a monthly report including ongoing project and activities progresses.

In some case he/she could be involved in the procurement part, depending on projects size.

He/she could as well participate to the improvement projects when in his/her area of competence and responsibility.

Qualifications:

Education: Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Marine, Chemical, Food or Packaging Engineer

Software: MS Office, Autodesk (3D Inventor) any other calculation and/or design software an advantage

Experience:

- Project design and calculation

Not required, but an advantage:

- Running of industrial equipment.

- Commissioning.

- Project Management, construction site Management.

- Equipment maintenance.

- Knowledge of industrial refrigeration system, utilities generation and distribution.

- Industrial Automation

Languages:

English: fluent or advanced level (spoken and written)

Spanish: An advantage

Skills:

Analytical, technical, and logical problem approach

Good communication skills

Good team player, the integration with delta Projects team and the client’s team are key to the candidate’s success
