Marketing Manager - Fine Fragrances

Job Description

A Marketing position is available at one of the world’s biggest fragrance and flavor companies, IFF. This position offers the opportunity to experience a fast-paced industry and a chance to create work for both new and established fragrance brands.

IFF is looking for a Marketing Manager to support the reactive and proactive sales of fragrances. This role creatively integrates market data and analysis, macro/micro and emerging lifestyle trends, consumer insights, and product, brand and competitive intelligence to deliver best in class olfactive rational and storytelling to our customers. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in project management, communication, presentation and influencing skills and brand understanding.

Based in Barcelona, you will be part of a global marketing team, reporting directly to a Senior Marketing Lead based in Paris/France, and constantly interacting and reporting dotted line to the Commercial Director also based in Barcelona.

Key Tasks

• Identifying and leverage key social, product, brand and olfactive trends to help build marketing rationale and concepts.
• Co-create with development and sales team influential noteworthy story-telling
• Support sales team during customers meetings
• Writing fragrance & ingredient descriptions, marketing concepts and perfumer interviews to support fragrance candidates.
• Analyzing and present sales data to support creative marketing presentations.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the key Spain fine fragrance market, retail channels, activations, communication, new launches, key consumption periods and consumers to be and act as the expert of the market
• Understanding and use IFF corporate capabilities to differentiate IFF from competitors

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years of brand, communication and/or retail marketing experience in the Beauty and Fine Fragrance Industry
