BBVA Executives App
Highlighted below were a few the requirements:

- Provide a real-time discussion panel where organizers could serve questions to speakers & attendees; seeding discussions for real-time discussions.
- A centralized web admin interface to monitor and manage the event and media distribution.
Our process may differ from project to project, but the following are a few key stages we employed…Highlighted below were a few the requirements:

- A centralized web admin interface to monitor and manage the event and media distribution.
Our process may differ from project to project, but the following are a few key stages we employed while working through the app:
1.-Sketch
The app ideas, architecture, and components started on our whiteboard. An open whiteboard discussion identified all of the client requirments.
2.-Wireframes
Wireframes allowed us to think through the content hierarchy and interaction points without the distraction of colors or design details. Wireframes were presented to the client for validation, feedback, revisions, and final approval.
3.- Design
Our design team was provided with corporate style guidelines for the project. Using these guidelines as a reference, high fidelity screen comps were created focusing on intuitiveness, ease-of-use, and simplicity. The goal was to create an app which would look and feel like a familiar banking application.
4.-Development
This was the most ambitious piece of the project. Thousands of participants are anticipated for the event. This requires an extremely responsive and near real-time system. Given our strong interest and ever growing development experience with Scala, it was only natural that we leverage the technology. We engineered all of the backend services, administration, and API’s atop the TypeSafe Platform with Play + Akka + Scala with MongoDB as storage. We tested the platform extensively: performance, concurrency, and load tests. We created a backend comprised of 10 servers with storage redundancy for failover. The BBVA Executives app and backend service is both responsive and scalable!Otros creadores -
