The Sustainable Tourism Awards reflect best practices globally, following the United Nations declaration of 2002. > Collaborative efforts: Skål International collaborates closely with Biosphere© and the the Responsible Tourism Institute since 2018, who will also award each winner with the 'Skål International - Biosphere Sustainable Special Award' consisting of a one-year free subscription to the Biosphere Sustainable platform. This year, we also welcome Sustainable Travel International, which joins Skål International in the close collaboration in the program of these awards. 🌟Bienvenido a hamburgo! 🌟Welcome to Hamburg! 🌟Herzlich willkommen in Hamburg! . Am 4.7.2024 war die Weltpräsidentin von Skål International, Annette Cárdenas aus Panama, in Hamburg zu Besuch. Sie ist damit der persönlichen Einladung von Hubert Neubacher, Präsident des Skål Club Hamburg, gefolgt. . Zu ihrer großen Überraschung wurde sie auf fast 50 Screens von WallDecaux in der gesamten Stadt herzlich willkommen geheissen. Auf dem Tages-Programm stand eine Elbphilharmonie-Führung durch Nataly Bombeck (Leitung PR Stiftung Elbphilharmonie). Zu Mittag ging es an Bord der Hamburger Deern von Barkassen-Meyer zum Hafentörn mit BBQ-Lunch, sowie Treffen und Austausch mit Hamburger Mitgliedern. Abschließend durfte ein Besuch im Miniatur Wunderland nicht fehlen. Frau Cardenas hat die Stadt abends -etwas hamburgverliebt😉- in Begleitung von Moritz Freise, Präsident des Skål Club Berlin wieder verlassen. Als Gastgeschenk überreichte Neubacher Frau Cardenas einen Hamburg-Fotoband von Der Hamburger.🙏 . Schön das Hamburg neben München, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bonn und Berlin eine Station auf der Deutschlandreise der Weltpräsidentin sein konnte. 🙏🏻🥰⚓️ . UN Tourism Barometer: International arrivals (overnight visitors) reached 97% of 2019 levels in the first quarter of 2024, reflecting an almost complete recovery of pre-pandemic numbers. ✅ Total export revenues from international tourism, including both receipts and passenger transport, reached USD 1.7 trillion in 2023, about 96% of pre-pandemic levels in real terms (i.e. excluding inflation). ✅ Tourism direct GDP recovered pre-pandemic levels in 2023, reaching an estimated USD 3.3 trillion, equivalent to 3% of global GDP. ✔ More information: https://lnkd.in/dEHyf6BV #Tourism #UNTourismBarometer
