Riding the wave of the UEFA Euro Championship and the Paris Olympics, Shanghai is set to launch a youth football extravaganza that is sure to please football enthusiasts.

The 2024 Shanghai Future Star Cup football tournament will kick off on Aug 12 and runs until Aug 18. Tickets for the event are officially on sale on Damai.com.

This year's tournament will witness a comprehensive upgrade in terms of participating teams. The host team, Shanghai, will take on the top club academies in Asia, Europe, and South America, including Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Stuttgart, Feyenoord and Flamengo.

The tournament will be held at the SAIC Motor Pudong Arena, known as the "White Jade Bowl", and at the Yuanshen Sports Center. The competition will feature two groups playing a round-robin format followed by knockout matches based on group rankings to determine the ultimate champion. According to the draw results, the groups for the tournament are as follows:

Tickets are available to the public, allowing fans to witness the talent of these up-and-coming footballers.

Ticket prices for the matches start at just 50 yuan ($6.8) per person. Group tickets (three or more) in the 100-150 yuan price range will enjoy a 10 percent discount, expecting those for the final.
