Pak blind archer Tanveer Ahmed set to return home with gold medals


ISLAMABAD, 11 July (BelTA - APP) - ISLAMABAD, 11 July (BelTA - APP) - Pakistani blind archer Tanveer Ahmed is set to return home tonight, after winning two gold medals in two back-to-back international competitions.

Ahmed informed that he bagged gold medals at the Para Archery World Ranking Event in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic, and the 1440 Double FITA Round at Jabbeke, Belgium, respectively.

Ahmed’s haul marks a historic achievement, as he became the first blind archer to win individual gold for Pakistan in the Para Archery World Ranking Event & European Cup 2024.

He secured a remarkable 910 points to clinch the gold medal in the VI-2/3 category at the Double FITA Round in Belgium.
Ahmed, who’s outstanding performance makes him the only blind archer to win gold medals for both Asia and Pakistan will return to Islamabad International Airport tonight.
