The districts are divided into cities of district significance, urban-type settlements (Kyrgyz: шаар тибиндеги посёлок, romanized: shaar tibindegi posyolok) and village communities (Kyrgyz: айыл аймагы, romanized: ayyl aymagy).[1][2][3]: 2–3 [4]
