The Blue Seedeater (Amaurospiza concolor) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae or Cardinalidae. It was formerly placed with the American sparrows in the Emberizidae. It is found in Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montanes and heavily degraded former forest.
