Dads N’ Rides at Ascarate Park

Celebrate Father’s Day with car shows, food trucks, entertainment, and live music by Fungi Mungle and more from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at Ascarate Park, 6900 Delta Drive. El Fresco! Funk Night

The latest installment of the El Fresco Music Series is bringing the funk from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 14, at the Judson F. Williams Convention Center Plaza. El Fresco is the revival of a free, monthly outdoor music series previously known as Alfresco! Fridays. The series continues July 19 with country music and Aug. 8 with rock music. Juneteenth 2024 Celebration

The city of El Paso and Black El Paso Voice will hostJuneteenth 2024, a family friendly event from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Nations Tobin Park, 8831 Railroad Drive. The celebration marks the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. Games, entertainment, live music, fashion shows, vendors and food are part of the event, one of several taking place at city parks, libraries, museums and the zoo. Admission is free. 12th Annual Margarita Shake-Off

The 12th annual Margarita Shake-Off, a fundraiser for the local nonprofit Hospice El Paso, is scheduled from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at San Jacinto Plaza. Attendees at the event will be able to sample and vote on their favorite margaritas prepared by local bars and restaurants. Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ Javi of 104.3 HIT FM and Azucar El Paso. Tickets: $20 at the door. Information: Hospice El Paso

Cool Canyon Nights continues with the Electric Dave Orchestra at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at McKelligon Canyon. Doors open at 6 p.m. with patio music by Daniel Villasenor. Free admission, but seating is limited.

Sneaker Con El Paso is from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Judson F. Williams Convention Center and features stage games, guest appearances, sneaker vendors, apparel and accessories.
