    Today, our CEO Kuldar Väärsi joined other defence industry leaders from the Estonian Defence and Aerospace Association to meet with Prime Minister Kristen Michal. Discussion focused on enhancing collaboration between the defence industry and the state, with the goal of boosting our sector's competitiveness and driving economic growth. Prime Minister Michal highlighted the government's commitment to developing the defence industry as a key priority. By strengthening our national security and fostering business innovation, we can propel the economy forward. This meeting underscored the importance of the defence industry not only for national security but also as a critical economic driver. Taavi Veskimägi, Chairman of the Defence and Aerospace Industry Association, emphasized the need for long-term state partnership to ensure the sustained growth of our industry. Our local defence industry's achievements over the past 15 years, particularly in supporting Ukraine, demonstrate our capability to develop world-class technologies and solutions.     Visitors at Eurosatory 2024 were impressed to see Starlink Satellite Communications (SATCOM) integrated into our best-in-class THeMIS UGV, revolutionising how autonomous combat support vehicles operate on the battlefield. 💪 This cutting-edge capability allows operators to control our UGVs remotely over vast distances, enhancing safety and efficiency in military operations. The Starlink capability has already been integrated into our THeMIS Cargo CASEVAC, which provides rapid evacuation for urgent casualties and is currently in operation in Ukraine.     We are delighted to announce that General Martin Herem, the former commander of the Estonian Defence Forces, is joining Milrem Robotics. General (ret) Herem will join the team as a Military Strategy Advisor starting in August. His role will be to bridge the gap between end-user requirements and product development, specifically leading the process of assessing lessons learned in Ukraine and converting them into use cases for land robotics in the future.     Our Capability Development Director, Raul Rikk, highlighted the pivotal role of Estonian technology in Ukraine: "Russia is actively developing its UGV capabilities, and Europe is doing the same. We were honored to have coordinated #iMUGS1, and now we are preparing a follow-up project with our partners, each of whom is a leader in their respective field," added Rikk. The goal is to establish an unmanned ground system capable of both manned-unmanned and unmanned-unmanned teaming, providing all active units with full support on the battlefield. Additionally, our involvement in supporting Ukraine has provided invaluable real-life experience, further informing and enhancing our development efforts. We have swiftly adapted to meet the demands of the battlefield, incorporating essential feedback from Ukrainian operators. Enhancements such as improved ballistic protection, advanced night vision, and counter-jamming capabilities showcase our commitment to supporting Ukraine’s defense with cutting-edge technology.
