Reporting Form

Reporting to ECRT allows complainants to understand the options available to them in order to make informed decisions about next steps. ECRT assesses and responds to every report it receives.

Reporting is private but not confidential. Facts are shared with other University officials only when necessary such as when a U-M employee has engaged in sexual or gender-based misconduct, a crime is alleged, community safety is impacted, addressing a reported concern, or legally required. If an employee is reported of potentially engaging in sexual or gender-based misconduct, that employee will generally be made aware of the report in order to address the concerns. ECRT takes great care to protect the privacy of all individuals involved and only shares information as necessary.

ECRT must take action to address possible discrimination, harassment, and sexual/gender-based misconduct. However the office takes into consideration what steps an impacted person would like to have taken.
