Real Estate and Facilities

Real Estate and Facilities is responsible for design and construction, real estate and space management, plant operations, environmental health and safety, and transportation services for Drexel University's three Philadelphia campuses: University City, Center City and Queen Lane.

General maintenance work requests are typically non-chargeable and can be submitted online.
Drexel University offers free shuttle bus service across its three Philadelphia campuses, as well as temporary transportation assistance for students, faculty and professional staff with mobility disabilities. 
Submit a Chemical Pick-up Request, Chemical Inventory Form, Laboratory Census Form, Infectious Waste Containers Request, Infectious Waste Pick-up Request, or Training Request.

Stratton Hall Switchgear Replacement - Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building Shutdown Location Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building The current plan is to shut down power to the listed building starting at 11pm and having power back on by 7am. During the power outage the contractors will reconnect each building onto the new switchgear from temporary switchgear located outdoors on the west side of Stratton Hall. During the power outage the emergency generator serving the building will run, but the building will be CLOSED to all during the timeframe. We will use the list of items provided from the initial power shutdowns in May. The contractor will provide temporary generators as required for local power not on the building emergency generator. Send any additional power requests to your department head or Facilities liaison, so that the requests can be collated, reviewed, and coordinated by the project manager. refrigerant reclaimation Drexel Joins EPA Effort to Prevent Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Refrigerant Chemicals
Researchers from Drexel University have been tapped to join an Environmental Protection Agency initiative to eliminate greenhouse gas chemicals, called hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), commonly used in refrigerants and insulating foams. As part of a federal initiative to address the potent, climate-damaging gasses, Drexel will receive $3.8 million over five years to develop a plasma arc device that can destroy HFCs.
