PGA: the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday - Third Round Adam Cairns-USA TODAY Sports

The PGA TOUR to North Berwick, Scotland this week for the Genesis Scottish Open. The Renaissance Club will be the host, and measures as a 7,237-yard par 70 with Fescue greens.

We have another full field, 156-man event on tap with a 36-hole cut, led at the top by defending-champion Rory McIlroy.

Below I have outlined my two favorite bets for the week.

Tommy Fleetwood to win (+3000)

It almost feels crazy to back Fleetwood at 20/1 considering he’s never won a PGA TOUR event in his career, but if there was ever a spot for him to break through the proverbial door, it’s this week. The Englishman absolutely loves the Renaissance Club, having played here four times in his career, while posting finishes of solo second, T26, T4 and T6.

Fleetwood is one of the best links golf players in the world, so it’s certainly no surprise to see his strong resume at this event. He’s having a really strong 2024 season as well, having posted three top-10s in 14 starts, while currently riding a streak of six straight top-26 finishes.

During the aforementioned streak, Fleetwood ranks 10th in the field in Total Strokes Gained, while sitting 15th from tee-to-green and 30th in putting. When he’s on his game, Fleetwood has virtually zero holes, which makes it all the more shocking that he’s yet to win stateside.

I would be surprised if we don’t see the World No. 11 in contention come Sunday.

Brian Harman to win (+5000)

Harman came out of nowhere to win the 2023 Open Championship, taking home the Claret Jug at 100/1 odds on DK Sportsbook. He will not be flying under the radar at Royal Troon in two weeks, but he might be this week in Scotland. Harman sits at 50/1 to win at the Renaissance Club, even after his T12 performance last season.

Very quietly, the 37-year-old is rounding into form, having finished T21 at the U.S. Open and then T9 at the Travelers in his two most recent starts. Harman gained six strokes ball striking at TPC River Highlands, and is peaking just in time for his upcoming title defense.

Harman’s elite short game is perfect for a links golf test, and with the way he’s been hitting the ball of late, it all might be coming together for him to pick up another overseas victory.
