🤝We are thrilled to share the recent participation of UN Web Buy Plus at the United Nations High-Level Committee on Management (HLCM) in Nairobi! 🌍 UN Web Buy Plus had the opportunity to be on the agenda of the 47th session of the United Nations High Level Committee on Management (HLCM) held last week in Nairobi. Here UN Web Buy Plus was able to present the business case developed under the Business Innovation Group (BIG) / Global Shared Service (GSS) initiative. A couple of weeks ago, we had the opportunity to visit the Port of Algeciras! This hub serves as a crucial point in the provision of materials to our destination countries, acting as the primary port in the Mediterranean for channeling our shipments. Port of #Algeciras is one of the biggest ports in Europe and currently has two container terminals operating at its facilities.🚢🌍 We were able to witness how the goods procured via UN Web Buy Plus are stuffed and lashed into the containers, before loaded onto the vessel.  As one of UN Web Buy Plus' most frequented routes, its strategic significance cannot be overstated. 🌍 On-the-Ground Supplier Visit to #Gibraltar with UN Web Buy Plus and Médecins Sans Frontières Logistique #MSFL! 🚗 Transport is an essential component in achieving global sustainable development – a key catalyst for poverty eradication, economic growth, improved education and environmental sustainability. It also allows Aid and Development actors to implement projects and programs in hard to reach locations and supporting populations in remote areas. With partners like MSFL, UN Web Buy Plus is working to achieve these goals and support communities in many countries. Last week, together with Médecins Sans Frontières Logistique (MSF Logistique), we had the opportunity to visit one of our suppliers, to see first-hand some of the vehicle upgrades and sustainability improvements. We were able to technically assess those improvements before vehicles are deployed on the field of operations in order to ensure an adequate implementation of programs and most favorable impact on beneficiaries in countries of destination.
