Despite a competitive sports market, the popularity of our hummel chevrons remains strong. This is evident from our 2023 financial statements, which show a new revenue record for the third consecutive year, rising from 2.201 billion DKK in 2022 to 2.225 billion DKK in 2023. However, the cost of inventory realization, increased interest rates, and bankruptcies among major European customers have adversely affected our profitability, resulting in a loss of 97 million DKK. Despite the setback in 2023, our new CEO, Lars Bugge Stentebjerg, is openly committed to our goal of becoming one of the world's top 10 sports brands and the leading team sport supplier in Europe. “Going forward, our focus will sharpen. We have lost too much focus on our core business, prompting us to recalibrate our strategy. We need to return to profitability, and this requires a deeper focus on our core business: team sport, key accounts, and our own e-com," says Lars Stentebjerg and elaborates: “We stand with a unique brand with a fantastic heritage in sports that we will leverage to win the individual consumer and thereby strengthen hummel globally.
