Presentations from leading industry analysts and executives will illustrate the current state of the industry and how panel makers and TV brands can convince consumers to pay for premium performance.
This session will explore what new display developments are coming to the smartphone market and when. It will examine the expected impact of generative AI functionality on pricing and demand. Also included are the latest smartphone market and technology forecasts, brand share, regional share, trends by region, panel supplier share, foldable results and outlook, chipset and sensor developments, OLED materials improvements and much more.
This session will cover the latest display market and technology outlook for notebook PCs, tablets and monitors. For 2024, IT displays are expected to grow after falling 8% in 2023 as a result of renewed demand from the commercial segment, AI, new display sizes, new technologies and more brand participation. From 2025 to 2028, IT displays are expected to continue to experience growth as a result of the consumer and commercial markets having more display choices than ever before as a result of improved display performance, new form factors, new uses cases and cost reductions. This session will cover the evolution of the IT display market and much more.
The automotive display market is expected to be the display industry’s fastest growing segment. Display manufacturers are benefitting from cars deploying more, larger and better displays. New form factors also have opportunities to enhance display functionality in the car. This session will leverage the DSCC/CP automotive display database which covers display sizes, features and unit volumes for all car models. MicroLED is a challenging technology because it requires the mass transfer of millions of tiny chips to the display backplane. While pixels can be made with native red, green and blue LEDs, another solution is to use color conversion with quantum dots. This session will present new developments in this field and will offer an opportunity to discuss the merits of each approach as well as target applications.
