My apple tv streaming keeps freezing

I’ve done this multiple medium power down and power up 20 times over 2 years and nothing has improved. Any other assistance would be greatly appreciated, as it’s quite annoying and ruins the viewing experience.

First thing to try is the following in the order noted below:

• Unplug modem for 2-3 minutes
• Unplug router(s) for 2-3 minutes
• Unplug ATV from wall for 2-3 minutes

Then in the same order and plug them back in and allow up to 10 minutes for each to fully boot up. Also ensure each of these devices has the most up-to-date firmware (your network equipment) and the ATV has the most current version of TVOS. Finally, test to see how the Apple TV does.

If the problem persists, please post back.

Changed network providers. Have fiber optic and a brand new setup. Still the same issues.

HOWEVER, cabinet fan arrived tonight. Watched 90 minutes of non-stop action. Not enough to be convinced, but it’s a start. Perhaps heat dissipation could be the cure.

Same issue - freezes within 10 minutes of any program. Power cycling AppleTV device didn’t help. Same issue when put it on different network, TV and router.

Then you may have a network problem.

I have the same problems and i have changed network service provider 3 times and the problem still remains. And i live in sweden so my 1000/1000 mbit from each provider isnt a issue.

What is the wi-fi signal strength reading where the Apple TV is located????

Max Wi-Fi signal and its about 2,5 meters from the router. Just to be clear. I stream from my computer from time to time with the same tv app but not through my Apple TV and then it works just fine.
