Filming at Waco Mammoth National Monument

The Mammoth Dig Shelter is part of the National Park Service.  Commercial filming and photography require a permit.  The permit costs $100, and other fees may apply, depending on your needs. Allow about 4 weeks for the permit approval process. There is no permit or location fee for smaller shoots of 1-2 people taking the regular tour and using camera phones. Official information is at https://www.nps.gov/aboutus/news/commercial-film-and-photo-permits.htm. High-resolution still photography of the dig shelter is available; live shots near the visitor center may not require a permit since it is not federally owned.

Drone Usage – The use of unmanned aircraft systems, also known as drones, is subject to the Applicant being in compliance with current FAA regulations governing their use.
