‘The Real World Homecoming: New Orleans’
I definitely raised an eyebrow when Paramount+ revealed that Season 3 of The Real World Homecoming would skip over six casts and jump ahead to reunite the New Orleans bunch. My eyebrow is now eating its words. Whatever bizarre imagery that mixed metaphor conjures up is nothing compared to the parade of “WTF” moments that are happening in The Real World Homecoming: New Orleans. We’re just two weeks in and we’ve already learned that David has changed his name to Tokyo, watched a totally blitzed Julie get down with drag queens, and seen a totally sober Julie offer to take a friendly shower with Tokyo (with swimsuits on, of course). I haven’t even mentioned the main cause of the drama so far: Melissa and Danny have decades of untreated wounds inflicted upon them by a backstabbing Julie. The drama is just getting started — and now I’m wondering why the series didn’t start with New Orleans!
