‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’
Hunger Games fans may be pleasantly surprised to learn that, despite the fact that Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t star in it—and despite the fact that it’s been over eight years since we were last in the arena—The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a fun, entertaining movie. This prequel film, which is now streaming on Starz, tells the origin story of future franchise villain, President Snow (played by newcomer Tom Blyth) and his doomed romance with District 12 tribute Lucy Gray (played by the lovely and charming Rachel Zegler). It’s a gripping tale of survival, romance, class, and war. If you love The Hunger Games, this is absolutely the movie for you.
