‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ (2011)
Spring may be here, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop watching dark, dreary movies. One of Rooney Mara’s best performances, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo may not be for everyone. Fair warning: This film contains a graphic depiction of sexual assault. But with that in mind, is a vibrant collab between Mara and director David Fincher—not to mention composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross—who produced a slick, sinister, and gorgeous psychological crime thriller. Plus, it’s conveniently streaming on Netflix.
