‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’
Despite being about colorful superheroes, the Marvel movies aren’t all family friendly. The Ant-Man series, however, definitely is great for the whole gang — and Ant-Man and the Wasp might be the best family superhero movie since Big Hero 6. After the events of Captain America: Civil War, Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) is under house arrest. Still, that doesn’t stop him from hooking back up with The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), or tusselling with a surprisingly sympathetic baddie in Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen). Free from the behind-the-scenes drama that plagued the first (still very good) Ant-Man, writer/director Peyton Reed crafts a film that’s sweet, funny, and eminently rewatchable whether you have kids, or not.
