Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Landman’ Drops Fiery First-Look Photos And Announces Fall Premiere Date

Paramount+ has unveiled a first look at Taylor Sheridan‘s newest drama, set to premiere this fall.

Landman, described as “a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs,” will star Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, and Demi Moore.

The new drama will be set in West Texas, following the “roughnecks and wildcat billionaires” who drove the 21st century Texas oil boom that is “reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics,” per a press release shared with DECIDER. The series is an adaptation of the Texas Monthly podcast Boomtown, hosted by Christian Wallace, who will also co-executive produce the series.

Moore is set to play Cami, the wife of Hamm’s character, who is reportedly “one of the most powerful oil men in Texas.” Cami is described as “a friend” of Tommy Norris, Thornton’s character.

Hamm will appear in a recurring guest role as Monty Miller, “a titan of the Texas oil industry who has a long personal and professional relationship” with Norris.

Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Mark Collie, and Paulina Chavez will also star, with Andy Garcia and Michael Peña making guest appearances. 1923 actress Michelle Randolph and Yellowstone actor James Jordan will also star.

The series will premiere Sunday, Nov. 17, with two new episodes. The first season will have 10 episodes, with new installments airing on Sundays.
