For some, getting to be “sexually inappropriate” with Brad Pitt is a pipe dream. But for Channing Tatum, it was a paid reality.

The actor appeared on today’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, where he revealed why his small appearance in Bullet Train was his favorite cameo to date.

“Getting to be sexually inappropriate with Brad Pitt in Bullet Train was — I mean — bucket list,” he told host Kelly Clarkson. “[It] was about as high — I didn’t know there was a bucket that went that high.”

Tatum added, “I think I made him uncomfortable once. It was nice. I was like, ‘This is all-time for me.’ I was like, ‘Did I reach a line there? Did I put my toe over the line? Sorry, sir. My bad.'”

Clarkson noted that Pitt seems “pretty game and all-in for some random shit” so she congratulated Tatum on a “job well done” for making the Oscar winner uncomfortable.

Pitt plays an unlucky former assassin in the 2022 action comedy, which was directed by David Leitch, who is known to incorporate cameos by A-listers in his films.

In one hilarious scene, Tatum — who plays an unnamed train passenger — is offered $200 by Pitt’s character Ladybug to wear his bucket hat in an effort to distract one of the assassins trying to kill him. But upon being offered the money, Tatum asks Pitt if it’s for some sort of “sex thing.”

Tatum teased his cameo in an August 2022 Instagram post, writing, “Caught a quick ride on a Bullet Train…it got a little weird..”

Pitt, for his part, previously revealed how the cameo came together, noting that he enjoys seeing big-name celebrities pop into each other’s films. At the time, he had made a short cameo in Deadpool 2 starring Ryan Reynolds, and The Lost City starring Tatum and Sandra Bullock. Both Reynolds and Bullock also made appearances in Bullet Train.

“I like this idea of… you know, like I showed up in Deadpool 2 for a second, Sandy showed up in this for us, I showed up in Sandy’s and Channing’s, and then Channing,” he told CinemaBlend. “I just like this idea of cross-pollinating each other’s projects.”
