The co-hosts of The View are more than just colleagues; according to Joy Behar, you could even call them sister wives. During a conversation about the concept of work wives on today’s show, the panelists discussed a woman who recently posted online about a feud she found herself in with her husband’s work wife.

This woman found herself at odds with both her husband and his work wife after the work wife was overly physical with the man, touching his stomach in front of his wife and and criticizing the man’s wife for the type of lunches she made her husband, saying she was fattening him up. The View hosts did not like this one bit, and all of them came to the defense of the real wife.

“I don’t like that, it’s inappropriate,” Sunny Hostin said, while Alyssa Farah Griffin, referencing the work wife, stated, “This woman has boundary issues.”

Behar then took the work wife concept a step further, saying, “I was thinking about us. You know, like, I feel like I was Brian [Teta]’s work wife, but then I realized, we’re all his work wife. We’re like the sister wives in the Mormons. The Mormons have polyamorous relationships.”

“We are,” Hostin agreed of their relationship with The View‘s executive producer.

When Sara Haines compared the co-hosts to Charlie’s Angels, Teta then joked, “It’s more of a Henry VIII kind of situation.”

Haines must have noticed that Whoopi Goldberg was just observing the whole conversation without contributing and spoke up, saying to Teta, “I don’t think you’re Whoopi’s work husband, though.”

Whoopi nodded and confirmed, “You’re not.”

Because if there’s anything we know about Whoopi, it’s that she doesn’t care for marriage and definitely doesn’t want someone in her house; not a husband and especially not additional sister wives.

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
