Kevin Spacey spoke out on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Tuesday, opening up to host Piers Morgan after being asked what he means by the “bad behavior” he committed.

“Pushing the boundaries,” he replied, per a clip from the interview posted on the show’s TikTok page, per Forbes.

When further asked “in what way,” Spacey added, “Being too handsy.”

“Touching someone sexually,” he said, as Morgan interjected, “Groping people.”

Spacey continued, “… in a way that I didn’t know at the time they didn’t want. Yeah.”

Morgan responded, “Some people would say that that is criminal, that if you grope people in a sexual way against their wishes, that that is a crime.”

In turn, Spacey said he “agree[s] that the word ‘grope’ is a very odd word.”

“I personally — I have caressed people, I have been gentle with people. That is the way that I am. You’re making a pass at someone, you don’t want to be aggressive,” he claimed. “You want to be gentle and you want to see if they’re going to respond positively. So I think the word [grope] itself is not a word that I associate with my experience.”

“Would you say all of that was consensual? Or was it an attempt at seduction that if it was repelled, by definition, becomes I guess non-consensual?” Morgan questioned. “That if you’re being handsy,  you’re groping people and they don’t wanna do it.”

Spacey chimed in, “Then they should let you know they don’t wanna do it so that you can understand it’s non-consensual and stop.”

In another clip from the interview shared by The Daily Mail on TikTok, Spacey got choked up when asked where he lives now, prompting him to reveal that the home in which he currently resides in Baltimore is “being foreclosed on” this week.

“My house is being sold at auction,” he shared. “So I have to go back to Baltimore and put all my things in storage.”

He said he “can’t pay the bills that [he] owe[s],” and as for how much money he has, Spacey told Morgan, “None.”

In 2017, Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of making a sexual advance toward him in 1986, when Rapp was 14 and Spacey was 26. While he was found not liable in a civil trial, this allegation has since been followed by multiple others. Last July, he was acquitted of nine charges against him in a UK trial, per NPR.

Spacey was the subject of the recent two-part docuseries Spacey Unmasked, in which ten men accused the former House of Cards star of sexual assault. In the wake of the docuseries’ release, actors F. Murray Abraham, Liam Neeson, Stephen Fry, and Sharon Stone shared statements of support for the actor with The Telegraph.

Last month, Spacey participated in his first TV interview in several years on NewsNation’s CUOMO, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Spacey’s interview with Morgan is on YouTube.
