Josh Peck is facing backlash on social media after sharing a bizarre video that some assume could be directed at his former Drake & Josh co-star Drake Bell, who recently came forward about the abuse he suffered while working as a teenager at Nickelodeon.

The TikTok video shows Peck lip-syncing over an audio from another user. “If I haven’t talked to you since 2023 take it as a sign that you don’t exist to me anymore,” he says in the video. “Bye! See you never.”

It remains unclear who the video is directed toward, though fans who flooded the comments appear to believe it may be a diss aimed at Bell.

Decider reached out to Peck’s reps for comment.

Peck has been noticeably silent since a number of his former Nickelodeon peers came forward about the toxic environment they say they endured at the network. While Bell opened up for the very first time about being sexually abused by a Nickelodeon employee, others expressed discomfort working with Dan Schneider, who created and ran a number of series on the network, including Drake & Josh.

“Your silence speaks volumes bro,” one fan commented on Peck’s video. “It’s really sad.”

Another echoed a similar sentiment, writing, “Your silence is LOUD brother,” while some fans noted how “disappointed” they felt by the former Nickelodeon star, and urged him to “speak up.”

The former co-stars have recently appeared to have a strained relationship, especially when Bell was not invited to Peck’s wedding in 2017, though Peck chalked that up to the fact that they had lost touch since starring on the show together. Fans still appear to expect Peck to speak out about the docuseries, considering his proximity to both Bell and Schneider.

Schneider was accused of creating a hostile work environment at Nickelodeon, so much so one former employee featured in the doc compared working with him to “being in an abusive relationship.”

The prolific television writer has also been accused of requesting massages from employees and pushing to include inappropriate content in his shows, most of which were geared toward children.

Schneider has since apologized, saying he felt “awful and regretful” since watching the docuseries.

Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV is now streaming on Max.
