If you notice a red-haired man who looks a lot like Lindsay Lohan while watching Irish Wish—the new Netflix romantic comedy that began streaming today—you’re not imagining things: That’s Lindsay Lohan’s brother, Dakota Lohan. And he’s not half bad!

Directed by Janeen Damian, with a script by Kirsten Hansen, Irish Wish stars Lohan as a literary editor named Maddie, who is in love with one of her authors: The dreamy and successful Paul Kennedy (Alexander Vlahos). Unfortunately, Maddie’s love is unrequited. Not only that, but she accidentally introduces Paul to her friend Emma (Elizabeth Tan), and they fall in love. Now Maddie is forced to attend their wedding in Ireland, wishing she were the bride instead. But she wasn’t counting on a magical Irish entity making her wish come true.

This is Lohan’s second Netflix original romance, following 2022’s Falling For Christmas. She’s clearly feeling comfortable on screen again—and comfortable inviting her family along for the ride. Dakota Lohan shows up about halfway through the film, as a character named Finn. Finn is one of Paul’s groomsmen, and we meet him as he and the other groomsman are shooting some arrows. It’s a brief but fun scene, in which Finn teases Paul about upstaging him at his own wedding.

“I got some move, I ain’t gonna lie!” he declares, before showing off some of those aforementioned moves.

We briefly see Finn once more at the wedding, where he does a subdued shimmy walking down the aisle. And that’s it! That’s the extent of Dakota Lohan’s role in Irish Wish. But that small appearance meant that the Lohan siblings got a chance to explore Ireland—the country where their grandmother was from—together.

In an interview for Irish Wish press notes, star Lindsay Lohan said, “It was so good to have my family around. We got to explore Ireland together and it made it way more meaningful, the whole experience. And he’s so great in the film!”

This is not the first time Dakota Lohan has appeared in one of his older sister’s projects. According to his IMDB page, he also had cameo appearances in Falling for Christmas and—if you’ll believe it—The Parent Trap. His 1998 cameo in The Parent Trap was credited as “Baby at Airport,” so we have a feeling he doesn’t remember that one. Another younger Lohan sibling, Michael Jr. Lohan, also appeared alongside his sister in The Parent Trap.

Clearly, Lindsay looks out for her family. We stan a loyal Irish queen.
